On their 2006 full-length debut, SOMETHING REAL, Meg & Dia offer up a set of guitar-heavy, pop-savvy indie-rock tunes, bringing to mind a slightly edgier version of the Veronicas. While the Utah-based sisters (who are not twins, but both look strikingly similar to the actress Jessica Alba) front the group, they are backed by a top-notch band that gives heft to their emo-leaning songs, most notably on the pensive "Setting Up Sunday" and the brooding "Monster."
