While other career-defining Sun singles are present (most notably, "Folsom Prison Blues" and "I Walk the Line"), Cash's decades with Columbia and his brief stint with Mercury are quickly skimmed over in favor of the numerous tracks from his lauded '90s/'00s American recordings. Stand-outs from that era include his haunting reworking of "Delia's Gone," the swaggering "I've Been Everywhere," and his minimal take on "The Man Comes Around." Though longtime Cash fans will already own most of this material, the collection works wonderfully as a concise introduction to his near-mythic career.

only got into Johnny Cash recently, but i instantly got some deep respect for this man, a brilliant songwriter, but not only that, a great guy, someone who has been through a lot, and someone you can learn from.

memorable performances include "Home Of The Blues", "Ill Never Marry, feat. Linda Ronstadt", "Ill Walk The Line", "Man In Black"

i could keep going, i mean even country music haters acknowledge this guy, too bad i only got into him 2006, he died in 2003, but he left an impact on this world, glad to see people still listening to him, you gotta buy the album, listen to the music, read the lyrics and you will feel it, the rich baritone(younger days) to warm (bass-baritone, pure bass) vocals just have a strong impact on each listener.

R.I.P Cash
