April 1941, Tobruk, Libya. 14,000 Australian troops stationed in Tobruk were awaiting reinforcements and supplies which never arrived. Eight months later, these gallant, heroic troops were finally rescued after enduring the onslaught of unending, crippling attacks from Rommels Afrika Corps. The Rats of Tobruk, like the gallant heroes of Kokoda and Gallipoli, are remembered and honoured in this film archive of a proud period of Australias military history.
