Political World Map Poster - Miller ProjectionThe Miller cylindrical projection is a modified Mercator projection, proposed by Osborn Maitland Miller (1897-1979) in 1942. The parallels of latitude are scaled by a factor of 2/5, projected according to Mercator, and then the result is multiplied by 5/4 to retain scale along the equator. Now if you can understand that take a gold star! Joking aside this is a very useful map poster showing all countries, major cities and time zones. Scale is 1 centimetre = 283 miles at the equator.
