David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim are a husband and wife team living in Los Angeles. They are together thanks to the Uglydolls! They met at art school where they began creating art and designing toys together. The Uglydolls were born in 2001 when overseas correspondence between the two progressed from David's 2D line drawings of a little orange, apron-wearing Ugly named Wage, to Sun-Min's 3D versions of this character. David, Sun-Min, and Uglydolls family (now over 20 characters) have been featured in numerous publications and TV shows ranging from The New York Times, People Magazine, In Style (Nov 2004), The Boston Globe (Feb 2004), Dwell magazine (Holiday Gift Guide, 2005), Elle girl, Jane Magazine, Giant Robot, CNN, and The Today Show, and in store windows around the world.
