About the Author

Stormy Smoleny, PhD, LMHC, NCPsyA, LP is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida, a licensed psychoanalyst in New York State, and a nationally certified psychoanalyst. She has postdoctoral certification in psychoanalysis, a doctorate in counseling psychology, and a master's degree in management/organizational psychology. At the time of this printing, she has been in private practice for thirty years, and has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Before going into clinical practice, she worked as an organizational psychologist assisting organizations with team building, stress management, and conflict resolution. She has taught psychology courses at Miami-Dade College for over thirty years. She has also studied philosophy, spirituality, metaphysics, nutrition, exercise, and alternative healing. For those who prefer a more holistic approach to psychotherapy, she offers a unique blend of traditional and nontraditional thought.
