Despite living in a world of almost constant crisis, we still seem to accept that capitalism - dangerously enticing, promiscuous, unstable - is what we're stuck with. Philosopher Slavoj Zizek ranges over everything from music videos to Marx to explore the possibilities of radical change.
Slavoj Zizek is a Hegelian philosopher, Lacanian psychoanalyst, and political activist. He is international director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities and the author of numerous books on dialectical materialism, critique of ideology and art, including Less Than Nothing, Living in the End Times, First as Tragedy, Then as Farce and, most recently, The Year of Dreaming Dangerously.
