About the Author

Born in New Mexico and educated in Chicago and Rome, Thomas L. Kelly served as a Peace Corps volunteer and as a program director for Care. Fluent in Nepali, he has established an audiovisual business in Katmandu, Nepal, where he now lives. His books include The Hidden Himalayas and Kathmandu: City on the Edge of the World. Carroll Dunham has authored The Hidden Himalayas and is a documentary film maker. She is director of Sojourn Nepal, a school in Kathmandu, and lives in Nepal with her six Tibetan foster children. Ian Baker is a writer, photographer, and educator who directs college programs in Nepalese and Tibetan studies. He resides in Kathmandu.
