About the Author

Frances Kelly is an academic and writer whose creative and critical selves occasionally collide. She nurtures a life-long love for research, as well as for nineteenth century literature, fairy stories and the neo-Victorian. Frances lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her husband and son. Penny Murray is a journalist and editor who has been gently coaxing meaning out of other people's words for two decades. Born and educated in New Zealand, she has spent most of her career in Scotland working in newspapers and magazines. Penny lives in Glasgow with her husband, small son and an unruly garden.
