About the Author

Born in 1954 in Presov, Slovakia, Mariana Fedorova emigrated to Germany with her family in 1969. She studied at the National College of Applied Arts in Stuttgart and at Stuttgart University where her subjects were painting, history of art and art science. Since 1977 Mariana has concentrated on literary work with the main focus on fairy tales and prose. Eugen Sopko was born in 1949 in Brunn, Czechoslovakia. After graduating from art school, he worked as a graphic artist for Czechoslovakian television. He left Czechoslovakia in 1969 and now lives in Munich, where he studied at the Academy of Graphic Arts.
