About the Author

A California native and expert writer, Elaine Waldorf Gewirtz worked as a columnist for the Ventura County Star and the American Kennel Club Gazette for 12 years. She is also an active member of The American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Dog Writers' Association of America and the Independent Writers of Southern California. She specializes in pet, health and nutrition literature, and has written 11 dog books up to date.
