About the Author

Deborah Lupton is a Sociologist in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Sydney. She is the author/co-author of 12 books, including Risk and Everyday Life (2003, with John Tulloch), Risk and Sociocultural Theory (1999, editor), Medicine as Culture (2012, third edition) and Fat (2012).
