Jo Ferris MCSP (Member of the Society of Chartered Physiotherapists) is a Peak Pilates Instructor and Specialist Physiotherapist in Neurology at St Richards Hospital, Chichester. Jo uses Pilates with patients at the hospital for rehabilitation after injury, to help treat neurological conditions and generally for fitness and wellbeing. Pilates as 'exercise prescription' is seen to empower patients to be responsible for their wellbeing. In her time outside the hospital, Jo runs general Pilates classes, and smaller classes and one-to-ones for clients with health problems. Jo's combination of Pilates instructor qualifications and experience as a neurological physiotherapist gives her an in-depth understanding of movement and clinical issues, which puts her in an excellent position to deliver authoritative and safe Pilates information to the self-help reader. Jo lives in Worhing, Sussex.
