About the Author

Lloyd Spencer Davis established the natural history filmmaking course at the University of Otago, and currently holds the university's Stuart Chair in Science Communication. His films have won over 20 international awards, and his book The Plight of the Penguin won the NZ Post New Zealand Children's Book of the Year Award. His other books include Penguin: A season in the life of the Adelie penguin and Looking for Darwin. Rod Morris is one of New Zealand's foremost natural history filmmakers and photographers.
