May 2006 All aspects of painting with watercolours are covered in
this fantastic book. Thorough explanations of each step in painting
makes this book a pleasure to read. William Newton illustrates the
basic techniques and then provides four stunning step-by-step
demonstrations. They are very inspirational and make you want to
reach for your paintbrush. From now on every watercolour painting
will be an excitement for me as I will be unravelling the painting
to see exactly how it was accomplished. I was very eager to attempt
a similar painting after reading this book and I found by following
the basic techniques Newton outlines I accomplished a wonderful
painting. William Newton is sure to inspire any artist!
