About the Author

Years ago, Steve attended RAF Changi Grammar School in Singapore. It was here that he experienced living in a vibrantly exciting multi-cultural society and loved every minute. The memories of that time have stayed with him. The passage from a school boy living in an innocent childhood bubble to the awareness of adulthood has shaped the creation of One Degree North. After college, Steve's first job was as an Account Executive at Young & Rubicam, an advertising agency. Steve continued in advertising for some years before taking a short break that lasted five years, during which he sailed the Atlantic Ocean from Gibraltar to Antigua and spent time in the music business as a roadie before becoming a rock group tour manager visiting Poland, Dubai and Zimbabwe to mention only a few gigs 'on the road'. Steve's experience in business produced his first book 'Success before Start-Up'. The book was written to help people prepare for starting their own businesses. He drew on his own mistakes and successes in creating a new product in the gardening sector. Spanish Rings, Spanish style flower pot holders that create Mediterranean hanging gardens. The company has grown into an international mail order concern. In fiction, he has written a number of short stories. The titles are SCAM, CONTRA and HEADHUNTER. One Degree North is Steve's first novel. He has started work on One Degree South that continues the devilish ways of our heroes.
