Sidney St. James is a pseudonym of Sean E. Jacobs. Sean E. Jacobs was born in Eagle Lake, Texas the middle son of three children. After a school career that included Eagle Lake High School and later Texas A&M University, he married Barbara O'Dell of Austin, Texas. He worked as a geophysicist in the oil industry for many years. After his two daughters were born, Vanessa and Stephanie, he turned towards the computer and tried his entrepreneurial spirit in mobile DJ work as the KOOL99 Oldies Road Show, Professional Photography and other crafts. Born into a family of readers and a father well known for his public speaking on Civil War topics, has never known a time he was not reading or making up stories. Beginning on a cold day while reading in the Reserve Reading Room at Texas A&M University, he picked up a pencil and notebook and started his first novel, In the Face of Adversity. This was 1972. It was there a career would soon be born. Several manuscripts and rejections later, this first novel was published in 2014. Jacobs met his wife in 1975 at the Winchester Western Dancehall in Houston, Texas. They were married in 1976. Jacobs is a member of several writers groups and has spoken to numerous reading clubs on his many historical fiction novels on Texas history and the Civil War. He follows in his father's footsteps as a sought after speaker at many historical associations and libraries across the southern states. After a dozen creative nonfiction novels by Sean E. Jacobs, Sidney St. James has written his second novel in his paranormal romance series, The Storm Lord Trilogy entitled Nine Months Will Tell. His final chapter, The Three Keys to Apocalypse, is due out in book stores in December, 2016.
