Barry Unsworth FRSL (10 August 1930 – 4 June 2012) was an English writer known for his historical fiction. He published 17 novels, and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times, winning once for the 1992 novel Sacred Hunger. Maloney is a British film, television and stage actor. He has featured in major films such as The Young Victoria alongside Emily Blunt, Notes on a Scandal with Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench, and Kenneth Branagh's 1989 adaptation of Henry V. He has a host of TV appearances under his belt including the ITV/Netflix series Paranoid (2016) and long-running drama Casualty (2010). He is also a prolific and engaging audiobook narrator.
