England's Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning have a long history of collaborations - including Marvel's Force Works and Punisher, DC's Legion of Super-Heroes and Majestic, and various Star Trek projects. Abnett has also written more than 30 best-selling Warhammer 40,000 novels and various Marvel U.K. titles, including Death's Head and Knights of Pendragon. Lanning is also a veteran inker who has lent his talents to such series as Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men. Together, they are responsible for galvanizing Marvel's contemporary genre of cosmic comics with the Annihilation and War of Kings events, and series such as Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy. The pair is equally at home with more terrestrial fare - including Iron Man/Thor, and Heroes for Hire and its sequel Villains for Hire.Rising star Wellinton Alves made his Marvel debut on Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: The First Death. The Brazilian artist's other credits include Nightwing and Teen Titans Annual for DC; Lady Death for Avatar; and Nova, War of Kings: Ascension and Thunderbolts for Marvel.Daniel Govar has created concept artwork and illustrations for video games, films, magazines and books. He helped develop the SciFi Channel animated series Eclipse, with filmmaker Russell Wicks, and Chi-Chian, with director/musician Voltaire. Govar co-founded the website ThereAndBackAgain.net, dedicated to illustrating all facets of the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien for The Lord of the Rings. His digital-comics credits include Azure for DC and Grimm for Dynamite Entertainment.
