Fertility Associates was established in Auckland in 1987. Pioneering reproductive medicine in New Zealand, co-founders Dr Richard Fisher and Dr Freddie Graham were previously involved in introducing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) technology to New Zealand in 1983, when they ran a fertility clinic at the original National Women's Hospital in Auckland. Fertility Associates is made up of a close-knit team of doctors, nurses, counsellors and scientists who have been giving families the best possible chance of having a baby for over 20 years, with over 8500 babies born to date. They offer private and publicly funded consultation and treatment, are active in both community and professional education, and also undertake a number of research programmes.
