3D Illusions is a highly original book that offers deceptive images, visual tricks and optical puzzles. But there is an exciting extra dimension - it is completely interactive and gets readers directly involved in trying to solve the illusions themselves with a fully tactile experience. So it's actually a book that contains unique three-dimensional images!; The book contains more than 50 puzzling images, each requiring you to find the mind-boggling solutions using the accompanying card press-out pieces. The clever teasers call for you to arrange or fold the specified pieces in the correct way to fit shapes inside another shape, create new shapes, pictures with an extra or missing object, patterns and logos. One of our favourites involves the optical effect tops - black and white discs which, when spun, project a colour illusion!; Geometric and Topological Puzzles: St George's Cross; Annie's Ts; Quirinus; Fooling Four-Piece Puzzles; Archimedes; Twingram and TangraMagic; 16-L Puzzle; Dudeney's Zoo; Cat and Dog; Just Once; Fit the Small Square; Magic Folding Puzzle.; Illusion and Visual Puzzles: Colour Optical Effect Tops; Gutei's Finger; Tricky Mushrooms; Japanese Bird; Queen of Illusion.
