Jeannie Johnson is married with one daughter, and worked in copywriting and marketing before purchasing and running hotels in both Bath and the Welsh Borders. She won the BBC New Writers' Initiative at Radio Bristol for Second Time Around, which was broadcast in March 2002 starring Stephanie Cole and June Barrie. She has appeared as a supporting actress in TV programmes including Casualty, Border Cafe, Pobol y Cwm, and a number of others.
