Liberty of London has an intricate and colourful history. It first
opened in 1875 by Arthur Liberty, son of a draper from
Buckinghamshire. Liberty is a department store on Great Marlborough
Street, in the West End of London. It sells quality women's,
men's
and children's clothing, makeup and perfume, jewelry, accessories,
furniture and furnishings, stationery and gifts. Liberty is known
for its floral and graphic prints and the offering of innovative
and eclectic designs to the public. Liberty collaborates with many
artists to create their famous designs and patterns. Most famously
they took on William Morris, whose name is now interwoven with
Liberty's history.
