George Herriman began drawing cartoon strips in his early twenties just at the time of their inception at the turn of the 20th century, and in 1910 he created the legendary Krazy Kat strip. Redefining the then fledgling medium, the series ran for 34 years until just after his death in 1944. Chris Ware is the critically acclaimed, award-winning author of Jimmy Corrigan.
