Another wonderful Liverpool saga from bestselling author, Maureen Lee. At the age of nineteen, Kitty McCarthy has decided she is going to live a life less ordinary - although she doesn't know quite how to go about it. What she does know is that she doesn't want to get married and raise children in Liverpool like her elder sisters: Claire, who is a mother-hen; easy-going Norah and elegant Aileen. But Kitty's resolve is tested by the unexpected direction her life takes. The combination of an impetuous youthful decision and a chance meeting twenty years later are to have momentous repercussions that will stay with her for ever, and it is her sisters who are the constant thread when other relationships come and go. They know her best, they say, and in the end they know what's best for her - although Kitty would almost certainly disagree...
Maureen Lee is now a Sunday Times bestselling author. Her novels sell over 100,000 copies in paperback and all reprint regularly. She also won the RNA award for Dancing in the Dark. Maureen Lee one of the best saga writers around, and always receives terrific reviews: 'With her talent for storytelling, queen of saga-writing Maureen Lee weaves intrigue, love and warmth into every page' My Weekly. 'Should keep you reading till the sun goes down. Packed with all the right ingredients - love, tragedy and the heroine's indomitable will to survive' Woman's Realm. 'Another brilliant offering by the woman who, through her novels, has helped put Liverpool-set literature on the map' Liverpool Echo. 'Big on drama and there's enough excitement packed into these pages to last a lifetime' Now Magazine. 'You'll be totally gripped by this wonderful tale' Woman's Own.
