About the Author

Andrea Comer was born in the United Kingdom and migrated to Australia with her family when she was six years old. From a very young age Andrea became aware of the way animals were treated in this world and vowed that one day she would create a place where elderly animals could live out their natural lifespan without knowing fear, feeling pain or enduring suffering. Grace Farm Senior Pug Sanctuary was a dream she carried in her heart for a very long time before it became a reality. Andrea lives with her husband and a cloud of elderly pugs, sheep and horses. Her days are spent taking care of her large four legged family, but sometimes in the late afternoon when the pugs are sleeping she has time to write. The Joy of Horton is Andrea's first book. Andrea says she has at least seven more books in her, she just needs to find the time to write them.
