Jim Goad edited and wrote the talked-about magazine of the '90s 'zine era: "Answer ME!" A three volume compilation of this zine sold 30,000 copies for AK Press, and is currently reprinted by a small Baltimore publisher, Scapegoat. Feral House published Goad's prison-era memoir, "Shit Magnet," that had its movie rights optioned by House Industries. Goad's "Redneck Manifesto" is currently in its 9th reprint for Simon and Schuster. JimGoad.Net has a heavily trafficked Message Board, which will definitely be geared up to discussing "Jim Goad's Gigantic Book of Sex," his "Answer ME!"-like presentation of brief, raucous and well-illustrated pieces. As Goad puts it, "the perfect toilet reading." The book is R and not X-rated, with any instance of hardcore sex acts removed from its sweet-smelling pages.
Considered a fine author by such figures as Chuck Palahniuk, the controversial life of Jim Goad was described in his memoir, "Shit Magnet." His published books include "The Redneck Manifesto" (in its 9th printing from Simon and Schuster) and "Answer Me!: The First Three" by AK Press and currently Scapegoat Press.
