About the Author

After winning several awards and traveling throughout the country during a lengthy journalism career, Stephen Kindland has turned his attention to writing children's books and freelance articles from his home in Northeast Florida. He plans to publish a second book titled The All-Natural Book of Children's Poems in the spring of 2014. A native of Jamestown, New York, Kindland served as a child development worker after graduating from the University of New York at Buffalo. His career change, along with a subsequent degree in journalism from the University of Florida, enabled him to become a voice for children as well as a staunch advocate for child safety and a healthy environment.
