Here Comes Another Vital Moment

Memoir, poetry and travel intertwine in this lively, thoughtful and beautifully written book that considers the question - when does the ordinary become vital? On a journey to Europe, Diane Brown was provoked to ask this question by a graffiti installation outside her flat in Berlin that announced: here comes another vital moment. For Diane, it is when she crosses boundaries: of countries, cultures and language; from poetry to prose; from the past to the present; the personal to the universal. It is when she fights for her own voice, in a relatively new relationship, in a country where she doesn't speak the language. Capturing images from her travels, she holds and defines those shimmering moments with insight, humour and appealing honesty.
