Writing is Cindy Santiago's first love and has been this author/poet's best friend as far back as she can remember. As a little girl in Waterloo, Iowa, Cindy wrote letters to people she missed. Through the years, Cindy's numerous letters to local newspaper editors' generated interest in her writing. The editor of the Chula Vista Star-News offered Cindy a weekly column. Her From the Heart column ran nearly 20 years. Cindy's stories, poems, and blogs were featured in the Imperial Beach Eagle and Times, The San Diego Christian Classifieds, and the Imperial Beach Patch. Her Reflections column ran five years in the Imperial Beach Sun. Cindy lives in Imperial Beach, California with Jr., her husband of 40 years. She has two daughters; Brandy and Misty, as well as two granddaughters; Salina and Dena. Daily, Cindy thanks God for her blessings. She hopes her words will help lost souls find their way.
