She has also written in the field of bereavement. Her books are available world-wide and have been translated into several languages. The devoted grandmother of 8, she has enjoyed every age and interest, and has been very involved with each of her grandchildren. She has especially welcomed getting to know all of her grandchildren's friends and their families. The idea for this book grew out of many conversations with both grandparents and grandchildren, during which each shared ideas, experiences, and concerns about the grandparent-grandchild relationship, and their desire to have the very best and most meaningful times possible with each other. She says that the process of interviewing grandparents and grandchildren for her book has been one of the most wonderful and rewarding experiences of her life!
