Cody R. Teets began her remarkable career in 1980 at a McDonald's restaurant in Denver, Colorado. Today she is vice president and general manager of the Rocky Mountain region for McDonald's USA, responsible for nearly 800 restaurants. Tired of the McJob jokes and derogatory portrayals, Cody Teets has turned a popular misconception upside down with overwhelming evidence--stories of people who started out flipping burgers and went on to excel in a variety of fields and professions.
She lives in the Denver area with her husband, Dan, and her two sons, Colton and Jackson. Profits from the sale of this book are being donated to Ronald McDonald House.
"For Leno, Bezos and company, [their] teen apprenticeships taught them lessons that have lasted a lifetime. Golden Opportunity ... [makes] ... McDonalds' distinctive culture come alive -- in ways that can benefit anyone trying to plan a career, get a big company back on track, or parent a teenager. " - George Anders, Forbes.com
