Michelle Worthington is an internationally published award-winning author of empowering picture books for children of all ages. Her goal is to inspire children to believe in themselves and encourage reluctant readers to fall in love with books. Two-time winner of the International Book Award for Childrens Hardcover Fic on and finalist in the USA Best Book Awards and Book Excellence Awards, Michelle also received a Gelle Burgess Award for Childrens Literature and a Silver Moonbeam Award for her contribution to celebrating diversity in picture books. Andrew Plant has always loved the Australian bush, and painting it and the animals that live in it. He was 20 km from the Black Saturday bushfires, but remembers the taste of ash in the thick, hazy air, and seeing the glow that night in the sky.
