Commissioned to write his first book in 2003, a 512-page volume on the history of US military vehicles, since that time over 100 of his books have been published. While most of these concern historic military hardware, including aircraft and warships, his volumes on military vehicles, meticulously researched by David and his wife Denise, remain the genre for which he is most recognized. This recognition reached its pinnacle in June 2015, when he was presented the coveted Bart Vanderveen Award by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, given in recognition of "...the individual who has contributed the most to the historic preservation of military vehicles worldwide."
I think it is perhaps the best and most comprehensive collection of archive photos I can remember seeing that is devoted to the topic of the Pz II. * Military Model Scene * In one book you get interesting photos, which will be equally useful for modelers and military history fans. * DetailScaleView * Whether you have the models that you intend to use this book for reference, or have an interest in the subject, this book will give you all the reference pictures and some besides, as well as some inspiration for dioramas. Highly recommended. * Britmodeller.com * The photos are well chosen and illustrate the Panzer II in all the theatres...highly recommended. * Military Modelcraft International * Almost 200 wartime photographs with detailed captions make this a book to treasure. * Classic Military Vehicle Magazine * This is a highly attractive volume for the modeller - some of the photos just cry out for a diorama. * Miniature Wargames - Chris Jarvis *
