About the Author

The Friendship Maintenance Society was founded by two friends separated by 3000 miles of continent longing to hear about everything going on in the other's mind, or at least what sort of pastry they'd share if they were together. They're dedicated to helping long-distance friends stay in touch the tried-and-true way: pen, paper, stamp.

Christie Young is an illustrator and designer based in New York. She is the illustrator of Girl Talk: Unsolicited Advice for Modern Ladies, and her work has appeared in NYLON, Madewell, GOOD magazine, and more.
