Jen Alexander has written a number of books on bullying, all of which been approved by ChildLine. Your Child: Bullying is used by counsellors and recommended by anti-bullying organisations including Families Against Bullying. Jen Alexander's non-fiction focuses on child self help and self improvement. She has already established herself on A&C Black's non-fiction list, and this is her first fiction title for A&C Black. Part of the specially-commissioned White Wolves fiction range for 7-11 year olds, written in consultation with the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education. Each year group will have three stand-alone titles and accompanying Teachers' Guides to support guided reading lessons in the classroom. Ties in with themes demanded by the NLS for Year 4: stories which raise issues. The series is already garnering praise in the press: 'It's a pleasure to read commissioned work which fulfils its brief so imaginatively' (Books for Keeps).
Jen Alexander is author of more than 100 fiction and nonfiction titles, including a serious work of non-fiction about bullying. She has written two non-fiction titles for A&C Black Going Up! the no-worries guide to secondary school, and How to be a Brilliant Writer. Jen is married to a primary headteacher and has four children.
