Murna Downs is Professor in Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford, UK, and Head of the Bradford Dementia Group within the School of Health Studies.

Barbara Bowers is Associate Dean for Research in the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Her work includes consultation to government groups on long term care practices and models.
