Michael De-La-Noy is the biographer of Elgar, Denton Welch, Archbishop Michael Ramsey, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Frederick, Prince of Wales, Bishop Mervyn Stockwood, Scott of the Antartic and George IV. His other books include History of the Honours System, The Samaritans, Windsor Castle, Oxford and the Church of England. He is a contributor both to the 1993 missing Persons Volume of the Dictionary of National Biography and the New Dictionary of National Biography. In Who's Who he lists his recreation as going for very short walks.
