About the Author

Eduard Estivill Sancho (Barcelona, 1948) es un medico español, conocido fundamentalmente por su actividad como especialista en medicina del sueño. Estudió medicina en la Universidad de Barcelona y se licenció en Medicina y Cirugía. Tiene la especialidad en Neurofisiologia Clínica, Pediatría y es Especialista Europeo en Medicina del Sueño. En el año 1989 creó la Unidad de Alteraciones del Sueño, en el Instituto Dexeus de Barcelona para el tratamiento de las enfermedades del sueño donde es el Director de la Clínica del Sueño Estivill. Es autor de numerosas publicaciones, más de doscientas en revistas científicas, así como libros para el gran público. Desde 1999 es Director de la Unidad de Alteraciones del Sueño del Hospital General de Cataluña, San Cugat del Vallés.1 Desde enero 2014 es presidente de la Fundación Estivill-Sueño.
