Beth Mitchum is an author, singer/songwriter, poet, artist, editor, and publisher. The overriding theme of all the hats she wears is creation. She has been a singer/songwriter and guitarist since her early teens. She has released one music CD (Driftwood: The Music), which is a companion to her novel, Driftwood. She has had several other novels published, including, Artemisian Artist and Gaia's Guardian, the first two books in the Goddess series, which is about women's empowerment. She has also published Higher Love, a stand alone novel. Poetry came later in high school, but not in earnest until her early thirties. Her poetry collection is entitled, bethwor(l)ds: 20 years of poetry. She is working on several more stand alone novels: Naked on the Beach, If Wishes were Horses, and The Diary of Allie Katz, a re-working of her masters project at UNC-Asheville, as well as Demeter's Daughter, the third book in the Goddess series. The author grew up in Winter Park, Florida, but has been residing in the Seattle area since 1993. She lives with her four cats, who keep her entertained while she works at home.
