Mention -Book News, February 2009 Mention --Book News, February 2009 Mention Book News, February 2009 'There are student-friendly introductions to Descartes' Meditations, but I know of none that match the student-friendliness of Richard Francks' Reader's Guide. It will make the masterpiece of the father of modern philosophy available to the widest audience yet. ' Professor Tom Sorrel, University of Birmingham, UK 'Richard Francks deftly weaves together exposition, commentary and discussion in this excellent guide to the Meditations. It brings the text to life in a stimulating way that will enable students to appreciate both its historical significance and its abiding philosophical interest.' Professor E. J.
