1. Large galley printing includes mailing through the July Consortium Galley Box and Library Thing promotional giveaway. 2. Additional trade marketing will include independent bookseller outreach (targeting the IndieNext list and Midwest Booksellers Association's membership), promotion at Book Expo America, ALA, PLA, and regional bookseller conferences + wholesaler advertising through Baker & Taylor. 3. We are interested in a table-top promotion through Barnes & Noble. 4. Our publicity efforts will focus on off-the-book-page features in general interest publications, outreach to all the major national and regional book coverage outlets (from NPR to The New York Times), and outreach to literary bloggers (who were the earliest champions of Firmin). Some of our pr efforts will be coordinated with Orion Books, who will also be publishing the UK edition in September. 5. Sam Savage won't be traveling extensively due to health problems, but we will be featuring his book at Printer's Row in Chicago, the Brooklyn Book Festival, and the Twin Cities Book Festival.
Sam Savage is the author of the bestseller Firmin: Adventures of a Metropolitan Lowlife, an American Library Association Notable Book and Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award finalist.
