As a small child Carol Worthey would sit on the edge of her bed riveted by the imaginative bedtime stories her Father created about the adventures and mishaps of a magical Crumb. Three generations in her family begged for these stories, but her father had died at forty-eight, never writing them down. Meanwhile, Carol concentrated on composing heartfelt classical music heard in many countries around the world and exhibiting paintings in Florence and Beverly Hills while raising a family. She loved writing, but kept it on the back burner --- a teacher had falsely accused her of plagiarizing a story when Carol was eight, calling her parents and saying, "No child of her age could have written that." Finally, Carol realized a life-long goal and began setting down whatever bedtime stories she could recall. To her absolute amazement, the characters began to dictate to Carol what they wanted to say, to think, to DO! The stories took off in a tempest of wild imagination with a stirring ecological message that concerns all of living things today! Carol continues to compose and paint but now is conceiving two more sequels based on Crumb & Company's involvement with endangered animals.
