Ezra Kyrill Erker was born in Berlin and grew up along the Black Forest and in Switzerland and Holland. Educated in California, he has spent most of his life in the Asia-Pacific region, with the longest stay in central Japan. Currently he works as a reporter for a major English language newspaper in Bangkok.
