Mary Hooper has had over six hundred stories published in teenage and women's magazines, from J17 to Woman's Own, and she tutors evening classes in creative writing. In addition, she's the highly-regarded author of over fifty titles for young people, including The Peculiar Power of Tabitha Brown and the Spook stories (Spook Spotting, Spooks Ahoy and Spook Summer) about Amy, a girl with an overactive imagination. Mary has two grown-up children, Rowan and Gemma, and lives in an old cottage in Hampshire.
