About the Author

The author has a Master Degree and holds the Principal Consultant role in a global MNC. In his professional capacity as a business process consultant, he had come across many great leaders and great people, as well as many mediocre ones.

Mediocre leader often bragged about big ideas and big concepts without understanding the basis of it all - a big joker and a big problem maker on our nice & sweet little planet Earth.

In this book, Basis Of Singaporean Spirit - People Power, the author combined his professional business consulting knowledge, with the vast knowledge of Chinese Wisdom to highlight the criticality of the "People Power" and the need for leaders to focus on the basis first - for when the basis is wrong, nothing will be right.

This is not the ordinary leadership book that 'reverse engineered' the success of somebody, and presents it as 'the model that he took'. This is a book on the basis of it all.

The author has great interest in Chinese "Art of War", "Romance of Three Kingdoms", and specific studies such as "Four Pillars of Destiny", "Purple Star Astrology" and of course, one of his favourite sites: "AstrologyZone.com". In his free time, he likes to play with his little boy. This picture at the back of the book is an artwork from his little boy (more on this in the book).

The author was born and brought up in Singapore and had experienced the leadership of all the Prime Ministers of Singapore, namely: Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Mr Goh Chok Tong, as well as the present Mr Lee Hsien Loong. Coupled with the author's professional experiences and qualifications, these qualified him, at least to be able to write this book from the viewpoint as a member of the People of Singapore to comment on the current issues of Singapore.
