Uli Cloesen has been involved in motorcycles since 1975. His motorcycling career started with a Maico MD50 road bike and spawned into owning several BMW's, Yamaha's, a Kawasaki and a Royal Enfield over the years. He is most at home with BMW flat twins, on which he toured around Europe and New Zealand. The art of turning BMW's into custom bikes always intrigued him. Uli is a long term resident of New Zealand and continues to produce new automotive books.
"One can already guess by the muscular BMW R 100 RS on the cover that this present volume contains some unusual conversions. And in fact "BMW Cafe Racers" provides a highly interesting insight into the colourful world of Cafe customizing." www.gespann-news.de "... any BMW lover will want this book. When I reviewed BMW Customs, I wasn't sure what to make of it. But now that I've seen 3 volumes out of the 4-pack, I get it. You'll definitely want all four ... You're in for a treat!" www.webbikeworld.com "New BMW book of brilliance. If you still think of BMWs as somewhat stuffy conveyances for bearded researchers, BMW Cafe Racers, a new title from Veloce publishing, might make you change your outlook on them..." Classic World
