Reviews

"His tale has often be retold, but rarely as well as by Christopher Kelly here. Full of intrigue and local colour" -- Michael Kulikowski * London Review of Books * "Kelly's well-told and reliable account is the best to have come along in years, showing a judicious approach to archaeological evidence that one could wish more widely imitated" -- London Review of Books * London Review of Books *
