Dominic Roskrow is an award winning drinks writer who has been a
journalist for more than 20 years. He edits Whiskeria, the world's
biggest whisky magazine, and writes regularly for Whisky Magazine
(for which he was the Editor for four years), Harpers, Drinks
International, Malt Advocate, and Rupert Murdoch's new iPad
newspaper, The Daily. Author of The World's Best Whiskies - 750
Unmissable Drams from Tain to Tokyo (2010), Need To Know Whiskies
(2008) and Collin's Gems: Whisky (2009), Dominic has visited most
of the distilleries of Scotland, Ireland, and America, and travels
regularly to distilleries around the world in search of new drams.
In 2007 he received the Scotch whisky industry's highest honour
when he was made a Keeper of the Quaich, and in 2010 he was made a
Kentucky Colonel, Kentucky's highest honour.
Jim Murray is one of the United Kingdom's most highly respected
whisky journalists, largely due to his annually revised
publication, Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, also available as an app,
and his website, www.whiskybible.com. The Whisky Bible records the
results of more than 4500 of Murray's personal whisky tastings,
from which he selects his coveted award of World Whisky of the
Year; equally desired is Murray's Liquid Gold Award, earned by
every whisky in the book scoring 94 points and upward. Murray is
known for raising the profile of once-neglected whiskies - notably
Irish pot still, Japanese, and American rye - and is chair judge on
the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
