Bought as a birthday gift for our 6 year old bookworm this has been the perfect gift to take his academic curiosities outdoors. The magnifying glass has him examining ants, the binoculars has him looking at the birds that find residence in our garden and well, has had him disassemble the torch to see how it works! (oops!) Because of his age the compass has yet to have been put to practical use but I have no doubt it will.
